The generic iLab Clinic Portal supports self-service signup from its sign-in screen. This option is shown when you use the generic iLab Clinic application or the generic iclinic.dental experience. A Clinic Portal account does not grant access to Lab Admin or the Technician Portal.
If you opened a laboratory's branded Clinic Portal, you may see Register Clinic instead of Sign Up. That is a request to join a specific laboratory, not immediate account creation. Follow the separate registration-request guide for that workflow.
The action on the sign-in page identifies the workflow:
Sign Up creates a new Clinic Portal user and clinic through the generic experience. Continue with this guide.
Register Clinic sends clinic details to the laboratory whose branded portal you opened. It does not ask for a password or immediately open an account. Follow Request to join a laboratory from the Clinic Portal.
No registration action means that self-service registration is not available in that edition. Contact the laboratory that supplied the application or web address.
Do not use Sign Up to create a laboratory administrator or technician account. Lab accounts have their own registration flow, and a Lab Admin user creates technician access.
Prepare the clinic's:
Account holder's first and last name
Clinic name
Primary email address
Phone number
Password and matching confirmation
Open the generic iLab Clinic Portal.
From the sign-in page, select Sign Up.
Enter the account holder's first and last name.
Enter the clinic name, email address, and phone number.
Create and confirm the password. It must contain at least eight characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and one of these supported special characters: ! @ # $ & * ~.
Complete the security verification.
Select Sign Up.
Continue to email verification when prompted.
All listed fields are required. The portal validates the email format, requires a phone number, applies the password rules above, and requires the confirmation to match exactly. Correct every highlighted field before trying the security verification again.
Signup sends the new account directly to email verification. If a non-iLab account later signs in while still unverified, the portal can show a dialog with Verify and Skip. Skip allows the current sign-in to continue; it does not mark the email as verified. Complete verification so the address can be trusted for future account and recovery communication.
Keep the verification page open and check the inbox shown on that page.
Enter the six-digit code. Entering the sixth digit can submit it automatically; otherwise select Verify.
If the code did not arrive, wait until the resend countdown finishes, then select Resend OTP once.
Use only the newest code after requesting another one.
After verification succeeds, the portal opens the workspace associated with the new account. The exact first page can differ according to whether the account is already associated with a laboratory domain.
Check the spam or junk folder before requesting repeated codes. Do not share the code with the laboratory or iLab support.
Available cases, invoices, shipping actions, chats, and payment options depend on the laboratory connection and its configuration. If the account opens but no expected laboratory data appears, contact the laboratory and ask it to confirm the clinic record and account relationship.
Account creation and laboratory connection are separate outcomes. A successful verification does not prove that a particular laboratory has accepted the clinic, that historical cases will appear, or that financial features are enabled.
Sign Up is replaced by Register Clinic: you opened a tenant-branded laboratory portal; submit the join request instead of trying to create a generic account.
The email is rejected: correct its format. If the server reports that it is already used, return to sign in or use Forgot Password rather than creating a duplicate.
The password remains invalid: check all five rules and make sure the confirmation is identical.
Nothing happens after entering the code: confirm that all six digits were entered and use Verify. If you requested another code, discard older messages.
A server error appears: preserve the exact message. The application can display server-provided registration and verification errors, so support needs the wording and failed step.
Verification succeeds but data is empty: contact the intended laboratory to verify the account-to-clinic relationship; do not register again.
Do not register again merely because:
You forgot the password—use Forgot Password.
The verification code did not arrive—request a new code and check the registered inbox.
Expected cases or invoices are missing—confirm the laboratory connection.
You are using a laboratory-branded portal that shows Register Clinic—submit the laboratory registration request instead.
A colleague needs access—use the account process approved by the laboratory rather than sharing credentials.
Duplicate registration can separate activity between records and make support investigation harder.
First contact the laboratory whose portal you are joining. For a technical registration failure, email [email protected] with the application name, clinic name, and registered email. Never include the password or verification code.
